We may not have had the fullest tour schedule this year, but the quality of each stop has still made it a very memorable year for us in the girls competition.
The absence of Karolina and Gisela may have been seen initially by many as a de-validation of the true nature of the title, but it has in fact had the opposite effect, opening the tour up to the next generation of champions and creating a thrilling competition and finale.
The main title could in theory go to any of the top 7 riders, however it is likely to be contested between Bruna Kajiya (2915pts), Hannah Whiteley (2556pts), Annabel van Westerop (2511pts) and Paula Novotna (2501pts).
Whilst Bruna is the favourite, the battle for second and third is going to be a really hard fought affair and it is anyones guess who it will go to.

When and where is this all taking place?
Next week from the 14th – 20th December in Noumea, New Caledonia, although a lot of the riders have started to make the epic voyage out there.
Are we excited?
You cannot imagine, and the best part is that we know we will have a kick ass live feed to tune into thanks to the WKL, so even if we have to sit up all through the night (New Caledonia is about as ‘other side of the planet’ as it gets for us in Europe) we will be glued to our screens and bringing you all the latest results and media so you can enjoy it over breakfast.
