1. Sand, sand gets everywhere.

Kite gear and and wet bikinis are invading your apartment. Your room is a mess, but you won’t even care because you’re too busy chasing wind.

2. Messy hair

Your hair alternates between perfect beach waves and hot mess on a random basis. Pretty sure argan oil was invented by mermaids as the perfect antidote to the slaty hair uni-dread.

3. Got the Zebra look

You’re torn between having that beach girl tan and protecting your skin from cancer and premature aging. You also have to avoid the zebra look, thanks to your boots/bikini/knee brace/harness tan lines. And no, sunscreen will NOT give you cancer!

4. I'm a big girl, thanks!

When people talk like they know your gear better than you do. Yes, I can ride my board without fins. No, I don’t need you to hold my kite while I’m putting on my boots. If another dude tries to grab my bar while my kite is in the air, I swear I will get violent.

5. Different priorities

When your real life gets in the way of your kite life. “Sorry, I’m gonna have to cancel our first date, it blowing 25 knots out there, I tend to get sick when it’s windy”

6. Strong girl

You’re probably taller and/or heavier than most male pro riders, but you find them hot anyway.

7. We need some more Kite Sistas out there!

As much as I love being the only girl in a crew of cute kiter boys, there is nothing like riding with my kite sistas. We need to get more women out there on the water

8. Girl apparels

Men can go to the moon, but apparently designing riding apparel that’s both practical and stylish is beyond their capabilities. Thank god for surf leggings. June Swimwear and Sensi bikinis,  Drika Margarita and Sirensong wetsuits, I don’t know what I’d do without you girls.

9. Spending money

Do I really need another wetsuit? But it matches my boots. Yeah, I need a new car but I just bought wax for the Tona surfboard that hasn’t been released yet. Why are plane tickets so expensive? Isn’t that what student loans are for?

10. You can't stop being so active

After the excitement of being out there on the water, a lot of things start to feel boring. When the wind stops, you just can’t go back to watching TV. Longboard, rock climbing, stand-up paddle, you’ll find yourself constantly on the lookout for new adventures.
