We have learned a lot about the new 2015 F-ONE collection and their new line of Manera products through the images and travels of Marie Switala.
Tahiti was the paradise island destination for these beautiful pictures of her which we urge you to look at and also consider this destination for your next trip.
Let’s take a moment to talk to her…
KSm: What is your best memory of this trip which you did with the F-ONE team?
Marie: It is difficult to choose one as there were so many, ..Tahiti is an amazing island and a magical place and the F-ONE team are like a family! …but I would say that it was the first few days when we all rode in the Morea lagoon to test the new 2015 equipment, …we were like kids in a candy shop!
KSm: Which is your favourite spot on the island?
Marie: The Morea Lagoon .. It is like a giant heated swimming pool with white sand, palm trees, consistent wind and (sharks) …no, dolphins :) hahahhaa
KSm: How did you split your days between kite sessions, photoshoots and training?
Marie: Oohlala, balancing training, kiting and photoshoots in Tahiti, you make it sound like a very hard life! Just kidding, but to be honest it came very naturally. When the wind was blowing we would all hit the water and take turns passing the cameraman for the photos. Then if they were filming the foil or strapless then the freestylers would have a chance to get some training in.
Honestly it was really cool and like I said, came very naturally as everyone was happy and in such good moods.
KSm: Do you enjoy, being an ambassador for the brand? Or do you find it a lot of pressure?
Marie: Obviously I love that I get to kite, this is my passion! So to represent F-ONE & Manera is an honor for me! I think when we have goals and objectives there is always a bit of pressure but when it is all done what is left in the heart is happiness :)
KSm: Manera has been working this year on their collection of clothes but we know they are also creating a line of wetsuits which we have already seen you in. Can you tell us a bit more about them?
Marie: I had the chance to test the shorty out this summer and I really really like it. Aesthetically I loved the colours, very chic and girly! Regarding the winter wetsuits, I tested one in April … it was super hot, super comfortable and super soft. In terms of quality, Manera has really set the bar high!
KSm: What are your plans for this coming year, anything in particular that you can share with us?
Marie: Actually I’m currently doing my CCA (Cabin Crew Certificate) to become an air hostess. But from December I will be concentrating 110% on training again with a view towards the competitions in 2015.
